Phnom Penh Full-Day Shooting Range with Video: Weapon Prices & Booking Guide
Tour Overview
The Phnom Penh Full-Day Shooting Range with Video is a dedicated shooting-focused tour that takes you straight to Cambodia’s only outdoor mountainous shooting range in Kampong Speu Province. Unlike the sightseeing combo tour, this experience is built entirely around the range — maximising your time with firearms.
Run by Cambodia Shooting Ranges, the country’s most established shooting tour operator, this tour includes private car transport, an English-speaking guide and driver, and hotel pickup and drop-off. The operator contacts you the day before via WhatsApp to confirm arrangements.
What sets this tour apart is the complete weapon price transparency. Every firearm has a published price — from $60 for 30 rounds of AK-47 to $500 for a single RPG rocket launcher shot. This means you can plan your budget in advance and choose exactly the experience you want. The optional 4-camera professional video service ($50) captures your session from multiple angles using a Canon EOS, two GoPro Max cameras, a Sony HD camera, and a drone — edited and delivered to your hotel the same day.
Base Price & What’s Included
This tour uses a base price + pay-as-you-shoot model. The $70 USD covers your transport, guide, and logistics. Weapon ammunition is purchased separately at the range, giving you full control over your total spend.
- Private car & English-speaking guide/driver
- Hotel pickup & drop-off in Phnom Penh
- Cold beer & cold water
- Weapon selection guidance from staff
- Full-day transport (~5–7 hours)

Professional Video Service
One of the standout features of this tour is the optional 4-camera professional video service. For $50 USD per group (not per person), a dedicated cameraman captures your entire shooting session from multiple angles.
The video is particularly good value for groups — split between 4 people, it’s just $12.50 each for a professionally shot and edited souvenir. The combination of ground-level action shots, high-quality footage from the Canon EOS, and aerial drone footage creates a polished memento that most visitors say was well worth the investment.
What to Expect
Hotel Pickup
Your driver arrives at your hotel lobby 10 minutes before your scheduled pickup time with your name displayed on a sign. The operator contacts you the day before via WhatsApp to confirm your hotel address, pickup time, and any special requests. Two main pickup points are available at Phnom Penh Night Market and Phnom Penh House, though hotel pickup anywhere in central Phnom Penh is standard.
The Drive (~2 hours)
You travel in a private car with an English-speaking driver who doubles as your guide. The drive to Kampong Speu Province takes roughly 2 hours through the Cambodian countryside. Your guide provides commentary on local culture and the shooting experience ahead.
At the Range (~3 hours)
On arrival at the outdoor mountainous range, experienced instructors welcome you and walk you through the full arsenal and pricing. There’s no rush — you browse the available weapons, ask questions, and choose what you want to fire. The instructors provide safety guidance and hands-on coaching for each firearm before you shoot.
The range is set in open natural fields with mountain scenery. You can fire at standard paper targets, or choose explosive targets like watermelons, coconuts, ceramic plates, gas tanks, and even purpose-built structures (additional target costs may apply).
If you’ve opted for the video service, the cameraman positions around you throughout the session, capturing your best moments from multiple angles including aerial drone footage.
After Shooting
Once you’re done, you settle the bill for the weapons you’ve used — cash only, USD preferred. Your driver returns you to your hotel. If you purchased the video service, the edited footage is delivered to your hotel before the end of the day.
Location & Transport
Round-trip transfer is included in the $70 base price. There are ATMs along the route if you need to withdraw additional cash for the range.
Practical Information
Visitor Tips
- Bring more cash than you think you’ll need. Budget at least $150–300 on top of the $70 base price. There are ATMs along the route, but bring cash from Phnom Penh.
- The best value weapons are the rifles at $60. AK-47, M16, and M4 all offer 30 rounds for $60 — that’s $2 per shot and plenty of trigger time.
- The RPG is the bucket-list experience. At $500 it’s the most expensive single shot, but firing a rocket launcher is something very few places on earth offer.
- The video is great value for groups. At $50 per group, a party of 4 pays just $12.50 each for professionally shot and edited footage with drone coverage.
- Wear closed-toe shoes and a high-collared shirt. The range is outdoors on uneven terrain. Hot brass casings eject sideways.
- Bring sun protection. Sunglasses, a hat, and sunscreen are essential for the exposed outdoor range.
- Share your WhatsApp number early. The operator coordinates pickup details the day before via WhatsApp.
- Tipping is appreciated. $5–10 USD for your guide/driver is typical for a full-day private tour in Cambodia.
What Visitors Say
This tour holds a perfect 5.0 out of 5 rating on GetYourGuide with 2 reviews. The operator (Cambodia Shooting Ranges) has an established reputation across TripAdvisor and Google with hundreds of reviews for their shooting experiences.
Reviewers praise the weapon variety, instructor professionalism, and video quality. The main consideration is the long drive (~2 hours each way) and total cost once weapons are factored in.
