Riga Extreme Movie Like Shooting Experience: Packages, Prices & Booking Guide
Tour Overview
This is Riga’s most cinematic shooting experience — four military-ranked packages designed around the fantasy of becoming your favourite action movie character. The Recruit pack starts at just €40 per person, making it the most accessible live firearms session available at any Riga range on Viator. At the top end, the Major General pack at €200 delivers 7 different firearms and 63 shots — the largest shot count of any Riga indoor shooting package.
The experience takes place at Walters Shooting Range (Walters Šautuve) at Meža iela 1A — the same venue as the Šautuve packages, Riga’s largest and best-equipped indoor range. This is a fully private tour: only your group participates, with a professional English-speaking instructor throughout. Whether you’re a solo traveller testing a €40 taster or a stag group going all-in on the Major General, the format is identical — just the scale changes.

All four packages are priced per person and include weapons, ammunition, targets, ear defenders, safety goggles, instructor, and range hire. No hotel transfer is included — a taxi from Riga Old Town costs approximately €5.

Firearms by Package
Here’s a full breakdown of every weapon featured across the four packages:
| Firearm | Type | In Packages | Max Shots |
|---|---|---|---|
| Glock 17 | Semi-Auto Pistol (9mm) | All | 15 (Major General) |
| Walther G22 | Semi-Auto Carbine (.22 LR) | Recruit | 6 |
| B&T APC9 | Semi-Auto SMG (9mm) | Recruit, Lieutenant, Major General | 10 |
| B&T APC223 | Semi-Auto Carbine (5.56mm) | Sergeant, Lieutenant, Major General | 10 |
| AK 7.62 | Semi-Auto Rifle (7.62×39mm) | Lieutenant, Major General | 10 |
| Winchester | Pump-Action Shotgun (12 Gauge) | Sergeant, Major General | 6 |
| Revolver | Revolver | Major General only | 6 |
| SPAS-15 | Semi-Auto/Pump Shotgun (12 Gauge) | Major General only | 6 |
The B&T APC series (Swiss-made, used by law enforcement globally) is the distinctive addition here — not commonly found at tourist shooting ranges outside specialist facilities. The SPAS-15 in the Major General pack is a semi-auto/pump-switchable combat shotgun with an imposing profile. The Winchester has the most visceral kick of the civilian-pattern weapons; the AK 7.62 offers the authentic Kalashnikov experience in the original Soviet calibre.
What to Expect
Getting to the Range
Make your own way to Walters Shooting Range at Meža iela 1A, Riga. The range is inside the fenced area, across the street from the pink Orthodox Church. A taxi from Riga Old Town or city centre hotels costs approximately €5.
Safety Briefing & Session (~40 minutes)
Your instructor provides a full safety briefing in English before you handle any firearm. Because this is a private session, the pace is yours — there’s no rush between weapons. The instructor stays with you throughout, adjusting coaching based on your accuracy and comfort with each firearm. After your session, take photos with the weapons and collect your paper targets.

Visitor Tips
- The Recruit pack at €40 is the best entry point in Riga — it’s cheaper than most ranges in Eastern Europe and still covers 3 weapon types. For a solo traveller or someone unsure whether they’ll enjoy shooting, it’s a low-risk way to find out.
- The Sergeant (€60) is the best mid-tier pick specifically because it includes the Winchester shotgun — a weapon with real cinematic presence that the Recruit pack swaps for the more tactical Walther G22 carbine.
- The B&T APC series weapons (APC9 and APC223) are rare in tourist shooting packages — they’re Swiss-manufactured, used by specialist law enforcement, and offer a noticeably different handling experience to the Glock and AK.
- The SPAS-15 in the Major General pack is the most unusual firearm on offer — a military combat shotgun with a switchable semi-auto/pump mechanism. If that’s your main draw, the Major General at €200 is worth it for that weapon alone.
- This is a private tour — the 40-minute session doesn’t have to feel rushed even with 7 weapons in the Major General pack. The instructor works at your pace.
- The movie theming makes this a great stag do or group birthday activity — competing for best accuracy across weapon types is built into the format.
What Visitors Say
This experience holds a 5.0 out of 5 rating across 11 Viator reviews. As the newest movie-themed shooting format at this range, it appeals strongly to groups and visitors who want a narrative to their shooting session beyond just “firing guns”.
